GPSSB Panchayat Junior Clerk Recruitment Exam Paper Leak Case: Gujarat ATS has arrested Sarojkumar Seemanchal Malu of Odisha in Panchayat Junior Clerk Recruitment Exam paper leak case. So far, more than 16 arrests have been made in the case. Earlier, the government had postponed the exam after the paper leak issue came to the fore.
The exam for Panchayat Junior Clerk recruitment was scheduled on January 29 at 11 am. For this more than 9.50 lakh candidates had registered, free return journey in GSRTC buses was announced for the candidates.
Sandeep Kumar, in-charge chairman of the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board, said on the paper leak that on the morning of January 29, the police had caught a suspect. During interrogation, he revealed that the paper was leaked. So far 15 accused have been arrested. This appears to be the work of an organized gang.
The Gujarat ATS was keeping a close watch on the people connected with the previous paper leak incidents. Gujarat ATS SP Sunil Joshi had told that 15 accused have been arrested from Vadodara with question papers. After this the government had decided to cancel the exam. Further investigation is underway in the matter.
Earlier, the Gujarat Panchayat Services Selection Board, Gandhinagar had informed that on the basis of information received by the police, one suspect Issam was arrested and a copy of the question paper of the above examination was recovered from him. Further action and criminal investigation by the police in the matter is being done in depth. After the matter surfaced, on behalf of the Chief Minister’s Office of the Government of Gujarat, it was announced to postpone the Gujarat Panchayat Junior Clerk Recruitment Examination.
